It has been alleged weft feeder parts that the crime was committed to warn off the Muslim nomadic community away from the areas belonging to Hindus. She claimed she had been raped by BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his brother and tried to end her life only after she failed to get justice.Calling the two points “a moment of existential crisis, a turning point”, the letter suggested that the governments response will determine if the nation will overcome the crisis.

The country saw huge uproars across various states on Sunday when citizens came out on the streets with candles and placards holding vigils for the victims of brutality. In post-Independence India, this is our darkest hour and we find the response of our Government, the leaders of our political parties inadequate and feeble. Also Read: Kathua case: Meerut student went to JK to rape 8-yr-old, says chargesheetThe girl, belonging to a nomadic community, was kidnapped on January 10 and over the next one week was drugged, starved, repeatedly gangraped before being strangled and her head bashed in. Marches and sit in protests were held in various partys of the country including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Goa, Thiruvananthapuram, Ajmer, Bhopal and Chandigarh. The Prime Minister, the retired bureaucrats said, should take five measures, which focus on capping hate crimes, offering special protection to Muslims, Dalits, minorities, women and children.Read: Heres what ex-bureaucrats say in an open letter to Narendra ModiThe gangrape and murder of the 8-year-old girl in Jammu and Kashmirs Kathua shocked the country after a police chargesheet exposed the horrifying details of the case.

It also suggested that the Prime Minister reaches out to the families affected by the Kathua and Unnao rape cases, seek their "forgiveness" and ensure speedy justice through an Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe and a fast-track court. The letter criticised in strongest terms what they dubbed the government’s failure “in performing the most basic of the responsibilities given to it by the people”.Expressing concern over the “decline in the secular, democratic, and liberal values enshrined in our constitution”, the letter said, “The bestiality and the barbarity involved in the rape and murder of an eight-year-old child shows the depths of depravity that we have sunk into.Last Sunday, a 17-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao, tried to commit suicide outside Chief Minster Yogi Adityanaths house.”The letter did not spare the serving bureaucrats either, saying they “seem to have failed in their duty”. On Monday, her father, who had been mercilessly thrashed - allegedly by MLA Sengar brother -- for his refusal to withdraw the case, died in police custody.New Delhi: As thousands of people from across the country take to street to express outrage over the rape incidents in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua and Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao, a group of 49 retired civil servants wrote a strong-worded open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, holding him responsible for what they called a “terrifying state of affairs”

“Availability of such supplier of qualified manpower in the market presently is questionable.”The letter pointed out that earlier, it was decided with the approval of the minister that all expenditure would be booked against ongoing project of Elevated Corridor for Barapullah Phase-III. Initially, the PWD minister’s office wanted to hire 16 professionals. The letter said there was no document on record to show if any market survey was done to reach the figures for “trending market rate. The inquiry has been initiated on the basis of a letter written by the weft feeder parts suppliers city government’s vigilance department to the superintendent of police, CBI, seeking a thorough probe into the matter. Further, the bid document submitted by M/s Soni in response for creative teams reveals that it had expertise mainly in housekeeping, integrated facility management and cleaning services.

One was an architectural firm — RSMS Architects Pvt. The letter said that two companies applied in response to the tender.  The letter said that the applications were invited through an advertisement. Out of the two, M/s Soni was finally selected, which was not an architectural firm.It said

“Records reveal that this (firm’s) work mainly involved hiring of data entry operators, stenos, peons, messengers, drivers, security guards, diary dispatchers and sweepers etc and not highly skilled professionals as needed for the creative team.New Delhi: The CBI has started a preliminary inquiry into the AAP government’s decision for selecting a company experienced in housekeeping, security and sanitation services to supply skilled manpower such as architects, MBAs, landscape artists, transport planners, urban designers, urban planners, industrial designers and graphic designers for the Public Works Department in the national capital.”The vigilance also pointed out that the original September 1, 2015 communication from the minister’s office and preliminary estimate for the work stated that the idea was to hire the best brains from premier educational institutions.”

“Therefore, any agency which specialised in housekeeping, security and sanitation services was selected for supplying skilled manpower,” it said. The said communication also indicated the qualifications and ‘trending market rate’ from Rs 25,000 to Rs 1,00,000 per month. It was also specified in the said communication that the service provider shall be paid percentage rate service charge,” the letter said, a copy of which is in procession of this newspaper.

The letter said that the PWD engineer-in-chief (projects) was directed by his minister’s office to hire 24 professionals as creative team.. “Later on, it was decided that the expenditure shall be initially chargeable to c/o 1,000 mohalla clinics. The vigilance said the supply of manpower (professionals) through outsourcing agency was not justified when this option was غير مجاز مي باشدting more because of payment of service charges to the outsourcing agency. “However, communication dated 25-2-2016 issued by the office of the minister (Mr Satyendra Jain), the requirement was projected as 24 professionals.”

“There is no analysis to justify the exact requirement in terms of numbers and categories.”The vigilance department also referred to the February 25, 2016 communication which had quoted that the creative team would be hired through Architectural Firms. Subsequently, again the expenditure of the creative team to contingency of unrelated project needs to be examined…The route of charging expenditure against contingency of unrelated project is questionable. Hence, there is total opacity and confusion in a democratic party like ours," they said."You may recall that in 2015, the Congress Party only had 9 per cent vote share in the Assembly elections. It should not be disclosed in the public," Rajesh Lilothia told ANI. Apart from these issues, many other important public issues have gone unnoticed by the current PCC leadership," the leaders said in their letter. The office of Sheila Dikshit, however, denied receiving any such letter. However, there is complete confusion as to who is running the PCC in her absence," read the letter to Rahul."But the PCC president and her agents are outrightly punishing these Congressmen who had put in their blood and sweat in the past."Virtual actions taken by the PCC President or by some unknown persons who are virtually in control of the DPCC are being taken under the garb of the recommendation of the five-member fact-finding committee formed for Delhi PCC after the Lok Sabha 2019 results.

Infighting in Delhi Congress seems to have escalated with 29 prominent party leaders writing to Rahul Gandhi complaining about the "complete state of confusion" in the DPCC.."On July 12, the DPCC appointed various observers for the District Congress Committee and Block Congress Committee units in Delhi. More importantly, such decisions are only going to help the BJP and the AAP, as the Congress stands weakened," they added. They also flagged concern over the fact that no public issue was being raised from the dais of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) including on power tariff hike, poor Board results.

In 2017, due to the immense hard work of Congressmen, we increased our vote share to 22 per cent in the MCD Elections and also in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections," the letter read. Hence, it is more alarming as to who are those people controlling the DPCC from the Super ELF G2 backend," they added. Nothing was said on the failure of AAP government and BJP MCDs to take effective pre-monsoon steps to control dengue/malaria and desilting of drains. Hence, it seems that some people from behind the curtains are operating the affairs of the PCC," the letter further reads. However, we are shocked to know that how can such an important decision be taken when the PCC president is in the hospital. The letter has been signed by 29 leaders including Hari Shankar Gupta, Nasseb Singh, Asif Mohd Khan, Brahm Yadav, Sharmistha Mukherjee, Jagjivan Sharma, Asha Gandhi, and Avdhesh Tanwar amongst others. However, what report has the 5-member committee submitted is unknown to the Congressmen.

The leaders in their letter said that by dissolving various Congress units in Delhi, the PCC is literally punishing thousands of dedicated workers and leaders, who worked very hard to resurrect the party in Delhi."Moreover, the complete lethargy by the current leadership in Delhi is also extremely worrisome.

The letter has been signed by 29 prominent Delhi Congress leaders. This exercise requires in-depth consultation and deliberation."Nothing was said on the communal tension in Hauz Qazi for which both the AAP and the BJP were to be blamed. Hence, we request you to kindly take effective steps to bring order in the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee," they said.Assembly elections in Delhi are slated to be held at the beginning of next year. This comes hours after three working Congress presidents of Delhi Congress and All India Congress Committee in-charge for Delhi, PC Chacko wrote to Sheila Dikshit expressing their disapproval over her "unauthorized" appointment of 14 District Congress Committee Observers and 280 Block Congress Committee Observers without consulting them."All three working presidents have written to Shiela Dixit ji but it is an internal correspondent. We pray for the good health and long-life of the PCC president Sheila Dikshit, who is currently hospitalised."The three working presidents, namely, Rajesh Lilothia, Devender Yadav and Haroon Yusuf are not being consulted in any recent decision making of the PCC.The Congress has no MLAs or MPs from Delhi."It seems that some confidants of the PCC president in Delhi are deliberately helping the BJP and the AAP

“We have registered an NC and are keeping a watch on the situation.” RBB shot to prominence on Republic Day, when they attempted to forcefully set foot on the sanctum forbidden to women. ‘There are several other pressing issues faced by women; the farmers have issues,’ it said. Later, the collector of Ahmednagar Anil Kawade invited the RBB activists and Shani Shingnapur Devasthan Trust members to discuss the issue. We are not scared by such threats.

“The police registered our complaint but no protection has been given or any other steps taken,” Ms Desai told The Asian Age.Ms Desai said that she has filed a complaint with the Sahakar Nagar police station immediately after receiving the letter and also forwarded the document to the police. Whoever wrote the letter should identify himself and show he is not impotent.G.The letter was delivered to RBB President Trupti Desai’s house at 1 pm on Friday.

In fact, this will help us in intensifying our struggle for equality. Even though no solution was reached, both the parties said that an amicable settlement was possible.”Senior police inspector S. Police stopped them about 65 km from the temple town and sent them back after detaining them for a while. She further added, “The fight for opinion should be fought with opinion and not by degrading oneself to this level..The body advocates entry of women to the sanctum at Shani Shingnapur.

Ms Desai said that the letter asked them why they were raking up the Shani Shingnapur issue. Nearly 1,000 women water jet loom from Pune, Nashik, Ahmednagar and other places left for Shani Shingnapur on 26 January. ‘Stop these activities or else you will become Dabholkar,’ is what the letter stated, Ms Desai said.Rationalist Dr Narendra Dabholkar was murdered in August 2013 due to his views against superstition. She also said that the letter was not signed by anyone but was attributed to ‘Virodhak’ (opposition). The Ranragini Bhumata Brigade (RBB) has received an anonymous letter warning that they could ‘become Dabholkar’ if they persisted with their demand of taking darshan of Shani idol from the prohibited chauthara (sanctum). Shinde of Sahakar Nagar police station said that they had registered a non-cognisable (NC) offence. The phrase ‘become Dabholkar’ is a possible threat towards RBB meeting the same fate as the late activist

”Lesley has pleaded guilty of murder at Old Bailey court in London and faces up to 13 years in prison.Lesley was imprisoned for seven years in 2012 for murdering both her minor children. Earlier when Harley was found dead in his cot, Lesley claimed innocence stating that it was a case of natural death. But when her 3-year-old daughter Lucy died six months after Harley's death, police found it suspicious and booked Lesley for manslaughter.

I am so sorry. During her years in the prison, she repeatedly pleaded that she was innocent and had nothing to do with the murders. Even though Lesley was convicted of the crime, Wayne decided to stand by her through the trial and support her until the end. (Photo: YouTube Screengrab)Commenting on his new love life, Lesley wrote, “I'm just frustrated that you did what you did but hey-ho life goes on and I have moved on and will start again when I come out of jail.

In a shocking revelation, a mother who had been jailed for murder of two minor children, has finally confessed to committing the crime, which she had earlier denied, according to a report in the Daily Mail. But to hear she murdered our baby as well is totally gut-wrenching.Lesley Dunford, 37, was convicted for manslaughter of Lucy, 3, and six month old Harley. Her husband, Wayne Dunford, 58, kept supporting her for four years and believed that his wife could never harm their children.

"She wrote, “I went back into the room, walked over to his cot and pushed Harley's face into the mattress until he stopped breathing.. The letter read, "Yes, I could have told you in 2004 but I was scared what your reaction would have been.”A part of the letter written by Lesley. It was only after four years when Wayne told Lesley that he has moved on in life and found a new partner that Lesley broke her silence on the death of her kids.Lesley Dunford, 37, was convicted for manslaughter of Lucy, 3, and six month old Harley.”Devastated with weft feeder manufacturers the fact that he was supporting his children’s killer since four years, a traumatised Wayne said that, “To only find out in a prison letter from Lesley that she had killed one of our children was awful enough. She wrote a letter to Wayne confessing that she was the one who murdered their children
